We are happy to announce as a Be Connected Network Partner, we have been successful in our application for the recent $50,000 Capacity Building Grant which will allow us to train additional Digital Mentors for the Bega Valley Shire.
Be Connected Network Partners have access to resources, grants and collaboration opportunities with other network partners.
Creating Lead Digital Mentors
Thanks to this grant, we will be able to train 50 additional digital mentors for the Bega Valley Shire. A number of these mentors will work as carers for organisations that offer aged care, but some of them will also serve as additional mentors to assist SoS.
We are currently selecting and training a couple of our Lead Digital Mentors who will run the workshops on our behalf, and we are in touch with several local aged care facilities. As a result of this, we plan to begin our online mentoring programme in mid August.
